Munir is a Brazilian producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Influenced by his Angolan, Arab, Italian, and indigenous Brazilian heritage, he creates original melodies and rhythms. He has collaborated, produced, and shared projects with artists including the Joe Zawinul Syndicate, Quincy Jones and the Global Gumbo All Stars featuring Alfredo Rodriguez, Concha Buika, Didier Lockwood, Hermeto Pascoal, Roberto Mendes, Paco Sery, Roberto Fonseca, Jorge Pardo, and Mayra Andrade, among others.
