Marie finds ways to make friction flow.

Marie is a sociologist, journalist, and independent advisor who has worked in the world of tech and innovation in the US and Europe. She was a communications associate at Mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsom’s office, curator and board Member at the local Danish TED chapter, and CEO and founding member of the Copenhagen-based organization Techfestival that gathered an international audience to discuss the societal impacts of new technologies.  

Today, she is an independent advisor, founder of the agency Stories I Heard, and commission member at the Danish Tech Commission TechDK, which publishes policy recommendations related to tech disruptions, new digital business models, and the digitalization of our lives. Marie lives partly in Copenhagen and partly on the internet.
