Geoff Mulgan

PROFESSOR OF COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE, PUBLIC POLICY AND SOCIAL INNOVATION, UCL

London

Geoff calls our attention to the next crisis: the one of social imagination.

Geoff Mulgan is the author of Social Innovation: How Societies Find the Power to Change, amongst other books, and professor of collective intelligence, public policy, and social innovation at University College London. Recently he investigated how we might fuel positive social imagination in a post-pandemic world. Instead of observers, as he puts it, communities can become heroes of their own history again.

Geoff has held positions as the chief executive of Nesta and as the first director of the Demos London tank. He was the head of policy for the UK government under prime minister Tony Blair, and advises governments and cities around the world.
