Easkey moves like water.

Since the age of four, Easkey’s life has revolved around the ocean. A marine social scientist, she holds a PhD in environment and society, was the first Irish woman to be nominated for the Global WSL Big Wave Awards, and is the founder of Like Water. Easkey has ridden some of the biggest waves in Ireland; no audience, no blue skies, no golden sands, just her, and a crew she trusts doing something she loves—chasing cold-water mountains. 

Easkey also co-founded the Wavemaker Collective, a leadership programme where social innovation and creativity meet the sea. She has just written her first book about our human connection with the sea, Saltwater in the Blood.
