Denise is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture in the workplace.

Among the most prominent African-American female executives in Silicon Valley, Denise has spent her 20-year career at Apple as a leader in human resources, most recently overseeing the company’s global effort for an inclusive and embracing culture and workforce. As an executive-in-residence at Cornell Tech, Smith works with students to build an early career-stage awareness of inclusive leadership and diverse talent.

Denise has served in several key HR roles at Apple. Most recently, she was vice president of Worldwide Human Resources and Talent, and for more than 10 years she sat on the leadership team that built Apple’s retail organization. Before retail, Denise ran HR for Apple’s Worldwide Operations and Corporate Employee Relations teams.
