Twain is making AI as naturally representative and coherent with humans as possible. She believes that "we are made of sunlight and stardust,” and that “humans are infinitely ingenious.” With her systems invention, Twain is working toward her ultimate mission: to make data, artificial intelligence, and economic models represent and understand our languages, cultures, and values, and to be able to reason and consider (think with care) like we do.

She is currently collaborating with computer scientists in the United States and China to recompose and re-architect computing, quantum, and internet building blocks so that human representation, agency, and humanist values are prioritized. When she isn’t making machines more naturally coherent, Twain can be found painting and sketching, hiking, attending music festivals and hackathons, or joining video calls with the House of Beautiful Business.
